After checking into the resort on Saturday evening and claiming a few free drinks from the resort bar, the whole gang headed to Dune Dog in Jupiter, FL for dinner. They make a good buffalo chicken sandwich. Just ask anyone in our group. 6 out of the 7 of us ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich... By the way, A1A & Alternate A1A are NOT the same road... And don't ask the people in the backseat that have been drinking for directions either!

The next day was Father's Day. The resort tries to sucker you into buying a timeshare by offering you free breakfast at the resort restaurant with one of their sleazeball sales reps, and a $100 gift card. Let's see, breakfast for 7 for free, and all we have to do is tell them we're not interested? Okay, since they insist.
|Happy Father's Day|
Breakfast was at 9am. By 9:20 the timeshare sales rep had given up after reminding us 6 times that he is not paid commission, but salary. We didn't care how he got paid because like we told them when checking in, we were NOT interested, but they insisted we go for the updated timeshare information. That has got to be the quickest timeshare presentation ever! The biscuits & gravy were pretty good too... On to the fun.
My Sister's Boyfriend took everyone out on his family's boat to Jupiter Sandbar for the afternoon. Jupiter Sandbar is similar to Disappearing Island in New Smyrna Beach where a bunch of boats pull up, and anchor on the sandbar in the middle of the intracoastal waterway. We spent the next few hours soaking in the sun while sitting in the water, and drinking some cold beer. It was Corona commercial perfect.

Dinner that night at my Sister's Boyfriend's home with his family was amazing . Made from scratch conch fritters, fish stew (made with porgy, snapper, and mahi), a low country boil (with shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes), salad, fruit, bread, and key lime pie for dessert. Sorry, no pictures of our feast. I'd like to find a way to get fresh Bahamian conch shipped to me so I can make the conch fritters at home. Maybe my Brother (the pirate) could hook me up.
Monday morning we went fishing on the Blue Heron Drift Fishing boat out of Riviera Beach, FL. The seas were a little rough on the ride out. The girls got seasick even though they took Dramamine before boarding.
Five minutes later, I caught a yellow tail snapper. Just as time was running out on our 4-hour fishing trip, Dad hooked & landed another small dolphin.
The fish were filleted back at the dock, and we grilled them at a small city park next door to out resort along with some zucchini, and squash. The grilled fish & veggies were served over rice. My Wife made a pitcher of sangria, and a strawberry shortcake for dessert.
After dinner we took a walk on the beach.
Sea turtle nests are marked off all up and down the beach. I woman we met in the elevator yesterday told us she saw a sea turtle building a nest on the beach.
The internet at the resort is extremely SLOW. It took an hour just to upload these pictures. At least they have ESPN2 so I can watch the Florida State Seminoles play in the College World Series.
That's all for this update. Thanks for reading. Please follow, and comment.
